This is pretty mild by Mexican standards. Most news stories out of that hellhole include a truckload of heads being dumped in an intersection somewhere.

Other third world shitholes will have their own problems. And how you going to have cheap fun in the sun in a first world shithole? Same deal with outsourcing manufacturing to China - how you going to get cheap crap from countries with proper labor and environmental conditions.

The US contributes to the shitholiness by the huge demand for drugs which finances the corruption there. Just some villagers having backward beliefs, that's just hte way it is over large parts of the world. Everybody can't be as enlightened as we are, or we wouldn't be able to brag about how enlightened we are.
