$1:
A doctor aboard the Royal Caribbean ship told her she couldn't give birth because they were still 14 hours from the nearest port in Puerto Rico.

After the delivery, she said the doctors told her she had miscarried and she should get some rest, but she insisted on seeing the baby. About 45 minutes later, medical staff said the baby had survived but wasn't expected to live long.

Really great medical staff they have there! I smell a pretty hefty lawsuit coming soon.

I remember seeing a documentary on the cruise ship industry and they were saying most of the "Doctors" on these ships didn't hold valid medical licenses and couldn't deal with anything worse than mild case of indigestion.

Hell they'd be better off with Navy Medics or Physician's Assistants than some of the quacks this documentary was mentioning.
