What was "Malcolm's Place", as Thanos referred to it?
No idea. I assume it's one of the many bulletin boards that turned message boards when the WWW was invented, then disappeared when people got a look at the nerd who built it.

There were the original Telus forums before telecoms realized (early) what a shitshow and liability it was to give voice to the unwashed masses and said "Shut 'er down, boys." One of the Telus Forum denizens, Malcolm, then built his own forum, and there was a general migration over to there. Malcolm was big on free speech, so we had full on Holocaust deniers sucking up all the oxygen in the room. Around that time we discovered CKA so we left the mouth breathers to scream their Jabberwocky and headed here. The site shut down a short while later.
Back then, we had CKA Radio on every morning, and it was an extremely active site. There was a great Purge at some point and a bunch of members deemed troublemakers were summarily booted from the site, which caused a lot of friction at the time. Then, of course, the advent of social media which killed forums all over the place.
Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.
