Jumper I am not anti gun. 27 years and counting in the Military so obviously NOT anti gun. I do believe in common sense and adding MORE guns as an answer to solve gun problems makes no sense.

You should know as well as I do that even in a TIC to many weapons can increase the chance of accidents by friendly fire and this is in a environment with , in most cases, highly skilled weapons operators.

I firmly support the idea that every law abiding person, within reason (hunter, competition shooter, trapper, farmer) SHOULD be able to own a firearm. I disagree with the self protection due to paranoia ideals that is the NRA. I currently live in South Africa one of the murder capitols of the planet and feel no need to run out and arm myself.

If limits had been placed on some weapons and individuals maybe we would not have lost 3 RCMP Officers

I know what my reaction would have been to witnessing the probable murder of an RCMP officer, and I'm sure there are those who would approve and those who would not approve of those actions. But I don't really care, as my self image doesn't require the approval of random internet people.

My two words would have been 'Citizen's arrest'. Right after I got my best hunting rifle out of the safe and my emergency flashlight out of the closet.
