DrCaleb DrCaleb:
If you figured this on a link I posted from the World Bank you figured quite wrong, especially with my track record.
Well, I posted the link, but yes. Based your track record, you say one thing but somehow advocate for the opposite.
shockedcanadian shockedcanadian:
...I am not supportive of anything but the free market. This means, low tariffs, low taxes, freedom of capital to invest and . . . freedom of citizens AND businesses to self determination. Freedom of businesses inherently requires freedom of citizens.
And how many times now have I shown you economists and reports that say the TPP and CETA will both have negative effects on the freedom and economic well being of Canadians? They will not 'create a free market', they will further reduce market choice while undermining democracy. That's what happens when you let business author trade deals like NAFTA or SPP. "Jelly beans". You remember Montebello, right? SDQ posing as protesters? Does that ring a bell?
But yet, you still advocate for them!
How do you propose Canadian businesses trade with Europe and Japan? Do you want the entire country to be a bankrupt state of cronyism and nepotism like Ontario? Do you want all of Canadian industry to be stifled and fail as they have in Ontario?
We either trade with others, or others trade with others and we are left out in the cold. Canada has an uphill climb as it is with our lack of innovation and excessive abuses of the security apparatus, why make it tougher to compete with artificial barriers to trade?
