It's also modern society that tells us to applaud when dogs are 'rescued' from Korean meat markets, but chide SJWs when they 'rescue' chickens from a North American poultry farm.

Because doggies are 'cute' and chickens are 'food'.

In fairness, I’d also ban a host of cruel slaughterhouse practices that would probably effectively end kosher/ halal slaughter.

I saw a documentary of a Chinese restaurant that served rat meat. The live rat is dumped in boiling water for a few seconds (makes is easier to remove the fur)... when they open up the rat, you can see its heart is still beating.

I feel queasy now when I boil lobsters.

Animal welfare is a first world concern, not a judeo Christian concern. it didn’t even exist as a concept until a couple of decades ago despite the fact we’ve been judeo-christian for 2000 years and doesn’t exist anywhere in Christian countries in South America or Eastern Europe, where they aren’t any kinder than Muslims.

And who severely ARE they prosecuted in our society? A small fine at worst is all that happens and in the Red States youve also gotten a bunch of Republican laws essentially making it illegal for people to expose these abuses. Capitalism and what I ‘corporate libertarianism’ are just as cruel and heartless as any Islamic third world country. So is yet this another Republican-Muslim commonality?

Also just FTR, Jews and Muslims both believe that their method of slaughter is the most humane because in both religions the prescribed ritual is toBslit the throat and bleed out the animal as quickly as possible. both religions specifically say to minimize the animals suffering. Now I don’t believe that to ne true anymore, in this modern day and age with stun technology and bolt guns, but aside from execution method, many are quick to point out that our modern slaughterhouses have poorly maintained equipment, poorly trained workers, at least some of whom are apparently sociopathic sadists. As Dr C points out death in a western slaughterhouse is no picnic. So this is also a case of the people not living up to the standards of their religion.

Never heard of an edict of Christianity claiming that animals MUST be slaughtered in an inhuman way. Unlike your buddies in the camp of Islam. Thought we might share some common ground but I see your blind tolerance of all things Islam is fogging your mind.
