Martin15 Martin15:
The moment drone strike blew up Qassem Soleimani, two Iranian Revolutionary Guard GENERALS, a colonel and six others in Baghdad as Supreme Leader promises 'jihad' against America amid fears of 'devastating war'

Qassem Soleimani, Iran's highest ranking general, was killed early Friday at Baghdad International Airport
US drone missiles obliterated two vehicles carrying Soleimani, his entourage, and Iraqi Shiite militiamen
Grainy video purportedly taken by Baghdad locals shows the moment one of the cars was struck from above
Iran has confirmed that two Islamic Revolutionary Guard generals, one colonel and a captain were also killed
Five Iraqis, including militia deputy-commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, were also listed among the dead
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to carry out 'jihad' against America amid warnings of a 'devastating war'
President Donald Trump boasted defiantly that Soleimani 'should have been taken out many years ago!'

Value for money, too.

Iran is a very soft target.

Their anti-air capability is practically nil, they have maybe four or five F-14 fighters that might be able to get airborne. They also have an assortment of Iraqi kit that they picked up after the last Gulf War.

If I'm laying this on my first targets are:

1. Their nuclear program.
2. Command and control including their theocractic government.
3. Electrical plants all across the county.
4. Dams.
5. Gas pipelines and other natural gas facilities.
6. Broadcast media.

And then I'd sit back and let the Iranian people finish the job of killing their slave masters. [popcorn]

Keep in mind that it took Libya a couple of years to take revenge for the US bombing that nearly killed Khadaffi by blowing up Pan Am 103 over Scotland. It's not a question of if Iranian terrorism against US targets will happen, including inside the United States, but merely a matter of when. Muslims have a hell of a lot of patience when it comes to these things, and they're not subject at all to the handcuffs imposed by the notoriously short attention span of domestic politics and election cycles. And this time it will be a campaign organized and directed by a Muslim state against Americans, not "merely" inspired by one as is the case with Saudi-involved terrorism. This could get really, really bad because the Iranians are far from being mooks when it comes to asymmetrical warfare. These guys are pros, not just a bunch of shithead mullahs sending some brainwashed morons out from the madrassas to get gunned down wholesale by American troops or by airstrikes.

Oh that’s totally going to happen. Just like how the Iraqis greeted the US army as liberators right?

Fighting Sauron was one thing, getting into a throw-down with Morgoth is something else altogether. :|

And you know it's not good when a notorious war-whore like Geraldo Rivera thinks it set off something that can't be controlled:

Not all of the Iraqis greeted the USA. Some of them had their heads turned into a pink mist. At least one of them was a cruel fucker who was disemboweled by a .50 through his belly and he spent a good twenty minutes screaming and begging for someone to kill him.

Weapons are instruments of fear; they are not a wise man's tools.
He uses them only when he has no choice.
Peace and quiet are dear to his heart.
And victory no cause for rejoicing.
If you rejoice in victory, then you delight in killing;
If you delight in killing, you cannot fulfill yourself.

If Lao Tzu were around right now I'd put a boot in his balls so hard he'd have to undo his collar to take a piss.

True. The wars are pretty easy. It's always the peace that becomes the problem.

But Bart's plan doesn't appear to care about any mad hope you can nation build an advanced western democracy for the Mohammedans. Just kick the Hell out of the Mullah's infrastructure then pass the popcorn. What will be, will be.

Well Trump has succeeded in getting the left to show their true colours and defend Iranian terrorists.

Questioning the wisdom of a military operation is not the same as siding woth the enemy. The Revolutionary Guard has been a disaster for Iran and the region.

Hence the military operation. So why question it.

Obama used over 1400 drone strikes to kill enemy leaders, people attending religious services, at least six weddings, ambulance crews, and not once did he consult with Congress about it.

Trump takes out a cocksucker who just got done running an attempted takeover of a US embassy, avowedly killing over 400 Americans, more than 15,000 Iranians, and promising to kill more Americans in the immediate future and you're questioning his wisdom?

Why? Did you want to give the Iranian murderer Canadian citizenship and ten million dollars?
