Five hundred sounds reasonable. Do a few blitzes, nail a whole bunch early, get the vibe going and follow up with targetted sting operations for big players and occasional enforcememtn blitzes.

Your sense of entitlement for stealing others work is truly amazing. Take a crowbar to your wallet and actually start paying for the songs and movies you steal you cheap bastard.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: Ah, I'm going to make an oath.
I, Daniel Jessome, as a Canadian consumer in the age of the internet, hereby vow that I shall never buy a CD or pay for media which I can access for free in minutes, for the sake of time consumption and entertainment. The laws I break whilst doing so shall not phase me and these actions, no matter how immature, will persist till the day that I am physically unable to do so. I wish the best of the luck to the authorities, who whilst implementing their totalitarian forces against Personal Freedom, will hopefully see the wrong in their actions. In the name of the youth, in the name of entertainment, in the name of freedom, I am a criminal. I shall fulfil my duties as a free and proud citizen whilst defying the oppressive and rich. If you ever get robbed or someone steals something from you don't even begin to think you can complain about it.

Someone stealing one is pennies. Hell, "stealing" music is like stealing pennies. Are you really going to chase a man who takes a penny out of your hand down the street? You can try to justify your theft anyway you like, it's still theft. It doesn't matter if you have a million of something and someone steals one, its still theft. Maybe when you have something of value you'll understand that.

They should really take out the bullshit about unlocking cellphones and transferring songs onto MP3 players, as well as end all the taxes on recordable CD/DVDs because they're just being fucking hypocrital if they don't.

Well you would be right if someone stole one of his movies or mp3 cause thats all thats happening online. He can sure as shit complain if his car gets stolen. Are you the guy that makes the "Downloading is the same as stealing" movies we always see at the beginging of movies. Thanks for that

Then here in Canada we too can have beautiful cases liek this clogging up our courts! http://www.betanews.com/article/RIAA_Sues_Deceased_Grandmother/1107532260Oh, I can't wait. Well if you pass a law, you actually prevent civil suits. The government enforces the law (ostensibly) and so rights-holders don't have to sue.
