He put in a lot of good years for Toronto and showed up consistently for big games. You can't blame the guy for taking a sweetheart offer like what Vancouver offered.
I agree with TG--it smacks of the Messier debacle. I am not liking thic clown what owns the Canucks right now, and Gillis has certainly failed to impress thus far. We had a great team wiht a crappy goalie (Cloutier) and now we have a crappy t3eam wiht a great goalie. If only the stars would align.
Still, you never know. The team doesn't look good on paper (with or w/o Sundin) but we can always hope.
