Don't you think so. I don't know if theres a limitations clause here like in the US but there is video evidence to go by.
Truthfully I don't know, these people haven't really done anything that I haven't by letting their kid drive for a bit (though I had more control than this guy) other than the careless disrergard for their own safety.

Yeah there are limitations, their called statutes of limitations. I'm sure the QPP aren't going to go after that father and fine him for letting his kid drive down a country road two years ago. The QPP have talked to him though, and I'm sure a social worker will be sent to follow up.

He's an idiot for posting it. lol

There aren't set limits on how long after a event has ocurred before a person is brought to trial - it's mainly up to the Crown if a reasonable period of time has not passed and if they think can get a conviction based on evidence.

Plus, this occurred in Quebec, so the Common law notion of 'statute' might not apply. (IANAL, and Quebec uses Civil Law).

Whatever the case, someone need to be held responsible. I too drove young (12), but I was able to reach the pedals and never exceeded walking speed in the fields.

No time limits to be brought to trial but are there time limits to press charges in cases like these? Someone should just slap him upside the head and have done with it. Anything criminal out of it will be minimal anyway.
