Not at all, I just feel if yer gonna be or wanna be the leader of Canada, that Canada should be good enough to vacation in. There's no shortage of beautiful places for the wealthy and the not so wealthy to go to.

So as well as opposing accumuloation of wealth, you also oppose the freedom of people to live and visit where they like. Now you're going past socialism and into communism.

Really now  I'm retired at 42 years of age so yeah, I'm against accumulation of wealth
I also said I feel Canada should be good enough to vacation in IF you are the leader or wanna be the leader.. Not sure where you get the communism from. I guess you don't quite understand what a qualifier is grammatically. Did I say it should be a law? Nope, pretty sure I didn't. Did I say all people that can afford to vacation outside of Canada shouldn't? Nope, pretty sure I didn't say that either.
I just think it shows a bad image when or IF a nation's leader spends most or all their vacation time elsewhere.

I don't know, I think people should be able to spend their money if they make it and vacation where they feel like it.

As for Igantieff, I'd be more concerned with his proposed policies for Canada than where he chooses to take time off. But that's just me...

Maybe if he spent more time in Canada, he'd have learned that we have 6 time zones, not the 4 he wrote about in his latest book.

$1:
In his new book, True Patriot Love, Mr. Ignatieff refers to Canada's 33 million people, "with competing and conflicting myths of origin, spread across four time zones..."

$1:
…Yet his talk in public grows increasingly sloppy, even on minor points. This week he declared the Liberals are now “more united than ever.” Could be, of course, but how would he know? He’s been a Liberal only since 2005, an MP only since 2006 and party leader only since December. His only basis for comparison is with the increasingly fractious caucus led by his unfortunate predecessor, Stéphane Dion. Or does he simply believe what his followers say to him in private?

and

$1:
…This week it was hard to avoid the thought that we are watching a kind of psycho-drama, the acting out of a politician who has discovered that he’s become a party leader without knowing what leadership means. Ignatieff has never been in a cabinet, and has therefore never worked closely with a leader. Much of what he’s learned has surprised him, as he tells Adam Gopnik in the Sept. 7 issue of The New Yorker. His remarks there make his peculiar behaviour understandable as an attempt to redefine himself on the run…

While this story is dumb in the grand scheme of things, it does add a piece to the CPC puzzle to label Iggy as a man out of touch with Canadians.

Canadians are already tired of politicians let alone one who may or may not relate to them even the slightest bit.

Canadians in general aren't the most informed voters and this type of crap sells in elections.

Agreed. Remember the Paul Martin tv spots when he was sitting on his porch overlooking the river at his multi-million dollar palace? That aggravated the shit out of me, for Martin to be TRYING to look informal and "in touch" while he REALLY looked like a condescending douchebag with a silver spoon up his ass.

Thats right. Iggy might be calling us a second tier socialist nation next or a northern European welfare state in the worst sense of the term. What kind of Canadian would say that?

Sure we do. We CONVERTED Iggy though like America is being converted by the democrats. Liberalism is the cure afterall.

Now you cons hate the Americans and despise free enterprise so you fear Barack Obama but freedom will sort itself out.

Sorry for your luck.

The Liberal party at it's best. No position, no memory, no platform.
Do anything, say anything, promise anything to get in power.

Well until he actually proposes a policy, I guess I'll just worry 'bout where he vacations for now.
