I'm not in favour of abolishing over 300 years of history just to please a bunch of separatist assholes. They'll finish by forcing us to turn ourselves inside-out and they'll still want to separate.

That said, I still fail to see how Canada would be better off without the Monarchy.

If it were a unity issue, I would be willing to trade the Monarchy for nothing short of an indivisibility clause in a Constitution signed by Quebec.

And as a side note, most of the world's republics are failed states, ridden with corruption.
