So am I. John McCain had to produce his original birth certificate and so should Obama. Hillary Clinton did so and so did her husband. John Kerry did it. Bush did, too.

It's not like this is some new thing that Obama is being singled out for.

At this point I am satisfied that he was born in Hawaii but I suspect the reason he refuses to release the original birth certificate is because it would list his religion and that would be the religion of his father.

All he has to do to quell the 'birthers' is to do what any other President has done: release the original birth certificate. That simple.

The left used SNL to lampoon Palin to the point that people associated more with her charactorization than with the real person. So far, SNL, Onion and the rest have not come up with a comic version of Obama or even Biden, even though their traits and foibles are clear to us all by now. When SNL did a Obama sketch, they had to have CNN run after it to calm the poor lefties down.

Are you kidding me the onion has done a number of everyone. I've read articles on just about every politican you can imagine on that site and every party has been attacked.

I remember laughing quite comically at one article that accused Obama of being out of touch with depressed fat Americans for example. It didn't mention McCain at all

And there is no such group as "lefties" i wish you would stop making up imaginary people to hate riden. There are people and there are politics and they can cross in crazy and amazing ways. There is no single group of political people no matter how you try and make the cut.

The Onion has done a better job but SNL isn't even trying. I think that clip of Chevy Chase is very clear about how they use satire and comedy to push an agenda.

We're not all one big happy family of humanity. There's extreme right fanatcs, right wingers, conservatives, moderates and apathetics, liberals, lefties, full-on socialists, and flat-out Communists.

And that's just on this forum.

At some point everyone picks a side and runs with it and while you may not fall into any specific category lots of people on this site will freely state that they are, indeed, 'lefties'.

Bear in mind I call some of those folks my friends.

Which is why I'll not sit idly by as you insult their convictions.

That's MY job.
