I had similar thoughts as Caleb (tho less sympathy for Khadr than this woman). PA9 - they didn't show the woman being tortured when she confessed on TV either, did they. Just some vague rumors by her lawyer.

My thoughts exactly. Torture is torture. Because one is a woman in an oppressive regime and the other might be a piece of shit doesn't make torture right.

Yer right DC. I'm not arguing FOR torture. But it seems the case being made that his confession is no good because it came under torture flies in the face of the fact that the fucker is SEEN IN A VIDEO IN A-STAN ARMING EXPLOSIVES!!! His confession isn't really needed because the video evidence is there for all to clearly see. 15 yrs old or not, if my father had told me at 15 years old that I had to kill Americans and/or Canadians, I'd be telling him to get bent.
Then you have his c**t of a mother who claimed they left Canada because she didn't want our corrupt and immoral Western Values tainting her children. Then she has the damn nerve to complain that the same corrupt and immoral West isn't doing enough for her poor little Omar. The whole family needs to be sent to hell as expeditiously as possible!!!

He is charged with killing Sgt. Speers with a grenade. Do they have video evidence of that? No, they have a confession possibly coerced via torture. Just like this woman.

The only thing I have ever said is he needs to have a fair trial. Whether here, or there, it needs to be fair. I refuse to try him via public opinion, but apparently that is all you need for a conviction.
