Well, most homeschoolers shouldn't be homeschooled. They're homeschooled 'cause their parents are lunatics and lunatics are the last people who should be teaching children. You say medicating kids should be criminal. I don't disagree with that, but homeschooling, in most cases, should also be criminal; it's a indoctrination at best and child abuse at worst.

In grade 6 we had a string of supply teachers at the beginning of the year because the original teacher went on mat leave (if I remember right). My parents didn't want me to be in a class with constant new teachers having to figure out what was going on, so they home schooled me for about 2-3 weeks. I was 2-3 weeks ahead when I came back. Assuming that trend could continue, I could have conceivably finished grade 6 in half the time as a public institution.

And did complete Grade 12 in half the time at a private school.

Go to a midden like Texas nowadays and the fundies can now all leave their kids in school instead of "teaching" them at home because their agents on the school boards have altered most of the public curriculum to match what to many of the dunces were doing with homeschooling.

Considering thins like being gay, introverted or considering the huge amount of things we have diagnosed people that describe themselves as anxious with over the years this is almost non news.

It's part of the reason why I always always research a medication or drug I'm prescribed before I got to the pharmacy and often get a second opinion if it's not a drug with a proven track record.
