When you can't trust eather one of them, why bother supporting them? Got me thinking.. Whenever I'm unimpressed or displeased with the major parties I always vote for the small outspoken extremists. You don't like the EU, vote for a one issue party like "Juni Listan" or you don't like new laws making it illegal to download, vote for the pirate party. You're not throwing away your vote becaus every single vote for a one issue party is one lost vote for the majors. They'll adopt the hottest issues to get easy votes.
Is this off topic? I can't tell. It's friday.

Bodah Bodah:
RUEZ RUEZ:
Does the treasury board have a rule that you can only have one weapon of a certain kind? Seems kind of strange that they aren't even saving money by getting rid of the mortars. Does this new weapon even do the same job as the mortar they are getting rid of?

The mounted grenade launcher is a direct fire weapon.

The mortar is an indirect fire weapon. It fires its shells in an arc.

Certain situations a motar would be prefered. I.E. enemy troops behind a wall or around alot of cover.

Troops prefer the mortar its lighter. But a mounted grenade launcher with its rapid fire can deliver some devastating firepower pretty fast. So both are usefull.

Two different weapons I dont know why the treasury board says one or the other, meh civilians....

The website even says it is supposed to be a complement to the mortar, not a replacement.

The fact that this is being pushed as a political problem shows where it's comming from. Since when did the last party care about the forces anyways?
Small infantry mortars are obsolete. Squads and platoons have radios and and access to larger and more effective support than could ever be carried and supplied by that platoon. Even still, the Auto GL are replacing or suplamenting many of the mounted weapons and it definately pays to have comonality inammo supply.
