But seriously: What do we need the USAF for? A few CF-18s should be more than enough for the Olympics.

Streaker Streaker: RUEZ RUEZ: I'm not to proud Yeah. Tell us something we didn't know. If it's not possible for you to act like an adult then don't address me. I was trying to have an actual discussion.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: I don't really care.
I mean, you think would, but whatever. If this is the protection we need, then fine.
I personally don't think anyone hates us enough to even TRY to pull something, but we never know.
I mean, the group of people I think are most likely to cause trouble would be the natives... And thankfully all they've got so far are arrows and hand-pistols. I can't imagine why DND and CSIS aren't knocking on your door this very second begging for your services as an analyst.

I'm just going to keep that one in my files for later because I know you're going to be wrong, and in such a patronizintg way too. If you think about if, they probably want 2 fighters in a racetrack holding pattern at all times so they don't have to start up and scramble off the ground. That's going to require air to air refueling. From what I read, we have 2 KCC130 tankers and I bet the closest CF18's are in Alberta. That's what.. 900 miles?

A few CF-18s should be more than enough for the Olympics. $1: Because of the proximity of Seattle and Vancouver, the airspace begins to fit together pretty transparently, so we'll have a piece in place that will allow for both U.S. and Canadian fighters to provide adequate oversight of that airspace,

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: And who hates us that much? The Taliban? Yes. Huge possibility. Sorta. I personally don't think any are really in Canada right now.
I don't think anyone believes we will be attacked. But isn't it better to be safe than sorry?

I'm going on record saying that the natives and Vancouvers poverty pimps are going to block bridges and Olympic sites. The media willl embelish the poor people good - govenment bad story, and the left will lap it up like ice cream. I also predict we'll see an example of China's bullybous repressing protestors on Canadian soil and it'll be down played as malcontents or troublemakers.
I also predict I'll fail aircare and break down to rebuild my cars motor.

Go big and fail big!
Actually, I'm dead on with the natives and the addicts. They've been sturring up crap since Vancouver won the bid, and it's only going to get worst. We had a woman who wanted to jump off one of the 2 bridges that separate North Vancouver from the rest of us and they closed the bridge for 6 hours. Do you think that the activists didn't notice that? Do you think the police would tazer or shoot someone who wanted to jump? We have a crapload of higher purpose people who are dying to stick it to the man, and so far the Olympics is walking in with a beaver skin top hat and a smoking jacket.
