Maybe Korea will be Canada's next major conflict...

Vancouver is within striking range of the DPRK's missile force.

Too bad Obama cancelled the Bush missile defence program that would've protected Canada from such an attack.

North Korea would more than likely hit the U.S. and not Canada. Our pacific fleet would make mincemeat of incoming missiles anyways. We don't need 'help'.

But thanks for underestimating us yet again. One day, in the future somewhere, Canada will save YOUR asses, and will remind you over and over til you're sick of us, just like you remind us that we're less powerful. Not that is matters, because we don't arm up and rack up massive debts to smoke other countries.

What is our Pacific Fleet going to intercept ICBM's with?

Sea Sparrow?

Phalanx?

57mm guns?

We have precisely "dick all" that can intercept a ballistic missile.

I think we have a new nominee for Uber Clueless Patrotic Canadian.

Mr. Canada, because you've matured somewhat over the last year or so, you stand relieved.

Sorry. Total Republican Bullshit. There is no (non-Russian or Chinese based) missile that can reach N America yet and when there is it won't be N Korean.
Instead of dreaming about missile shields, let's just call Peking and tell them we'll keep the Yanks south of the 38th if they keep to their side of the Yalu and let the Koreans have at 'er.

Riiiiiiight. Because we really want to start another arms race...

Bart, as much I don't trust Russia as far as I can throw it, the Cold War is over and times have changed. We shouldn't be creating new militarized zones over potential fears from rogue nations that, let's face it, if they ever really started to become so much as a minor threat, America(or Israel) will curb-stomp them so hard they'll breath magma. Preemptive strikes have worked before and rather effectively. I hardly see a missile defense shield as being necessary when there are capable intelligence agencies, the IDF with titanium scrota, the current American military complex and the fact that Iraq was leveled on the ASSUMPTION of having weapons of mass destruction.

Also, this is Canada. The only things I'm worried about here are health care costs for our aging population, the status of the NWP and our Arctic waters, the strength of our military and how not to fuck up the fact that we're outpacing the G8 in growth. :P
