You know what though?

There's one aspect of all this, all you experts are ignoring.

Trump aide denies he asked vaccine skeptic RFK Jr. to chair commission on vaccine safety

$1:
Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a vocal vaccination skeptic, told reporters Tuesday President-elect Donald Trump has asked him to chair a commission on vaccine safety, but a Trump aide said no final decisions have been made.

Leaving Trump Tower after a meeting, Kennedy claimed Trump asked him to chair "a commission on vaccine safety and scientific integrity."

Hours later, Trump spokesperson Hope Hicks released a statement insisting he has not yet decided whether to form such a commission.

"The president-elect looks forward to continuing the discussion about all aspects of autism with many groups and individuals," Hicks said.

DrCaleb DrCaleb:
A good write up on the whole MMR debacle is here:

http://cid.oxfordjournals.org/content/48/4/456.full

That's the questionable autism links to MMR - which I agree I'm sketchy on.

Japan banned MMR after concurrent independent studies showed conclusive links to MMR induced aseptic meningitis and death. The actual Japanese study did not address autism although it's been falsely attributed as doing so.

A follow-on study in Japan showed no link between the ban on MMR and the autism rate.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15877763

The Japanese switched to immunizing for measles, mumps, and rubella separately and they reduced the infant/child mortality rate versus combined MMR recipients.

I recall that France is contemplating a ban on MMR or else they've already done it.

And the capper:

$1:
Conclusions

Twenty epidemiologic studies have shown that neither thimerosal nor MMR vaccine causes autism. These studies have been performed in several countries by many different investigators who have employed a multitude of epidemiologic and statistical methods. The large size of the studied populations has afforded a level of statistical power sufficient to detect even rare associations. These studies, in concert with the biological implausibility that vaccines overwhelm a child's immune system, have effectively dismissed the notion that vaccines cause autism. Further studies on the cause or causes of autism should focus on more-promising leads.

So launching another study into the vaccine/autism connection is likely to do absolutely nothing, except play on people's existing prejudices.

And the underlying problem, even if Kennedy doesn't head it up is this statement. Why are we mentioning autism when talking about the safety of vaccines?

That's the root of the problem right there. Not who's heading it. But that another study is being done, but it's going to be done by people chosen by a half retarded carrot.

Tricks Tricks:
Why are we mentioning autism when talking about the safety of vaccines?

Because people (voters) are concerned about it and it's the place of the government of a representative republic to answer their concerns.

One way or the other I imagine their concerns will be addressed.

If Trump is half-retarded then you've naturally accomplished more at your age then he did at your age, right? I mean given the advantages of your mental superiority you've far and away eclipsed the 'half retarded carrot' right?

More studies are not the answer to that, because the answer is known. Perhaps education would be a better try.

But I understand the carrot not liking education.

I assume you've accomplished as much as Obama?

Didn't think so.

You also seem to think that someone successful can't be stupid, which is flat wrong.

Also, when he was my age, he was helping run Daddy's company, please try to draw an equivalence to the average person. And was also in the papers about racial discrimination.

I'd rather not be accused of racial discrimination and make my own way in life, not on the coat tails of my (in his case) fuckstick father.

I've never said that he was half retarded. I've called the man many things but I've never called him stupid, ignorant, dull, or retarded. I've also never presumed to be more intelligent than he is but I will say that I have my name on more patents than he does and I've also made more money in private enterprise than he has.

And yet he was the leader of the free world at 47. Trump didn't manage that either fyi. Guess Obama is smarter than by your metric right?
