RUEZ RUEZ: Thanks for the propoganda dude. Not really propaganda when it is based on facts while the other side struggles to find them.

jeff744 jeff744: I'm talking more about a good chunk of the west working just on getting on their good side instead of pissing them off. Make deals that are basically only beneficial to Iran like helping them build more nuclear power stations, and help with enrichment (this would allow you to monitor the total production). Honestly I think Ahmenumbnuts is on the way out after the latest sanctions, and if we get really lucky, we will have a chance to make a friend out of Iran instead of an enemy. All you need is one government that wants reform. Personally, I'd like to see it happen if only for the Iranian people. I've met several over here and became friends with many of them. I like 'em. The ones I know are polite, smart, generous and there's some darn fine looking Iranian ladies ![Drool [drool]](./images/smilies/droolies.GIF)

I believe America should stop using force to try and get their way, look where it has gotten us, everywhere they interfered in has gone to shit. Iran on the other hand hasn't engaged in an offensive war to date and repeatedly maintains that they have no intention of doing so. Iran has reason to be believed in this case and they posed some damned fin arguments as to why they do not want a nuke, the US just keeps claiming they are there but never producing evidence.

Few rotten apples just happen to hold power and once we figure out how to help the people get rid of them I see them being a very close ally.

Iran, a bastion of free speech and a great neighbour since 1979. With just a few rotten apples.

EyeBrock EyeBrock: Iran, a bastion of free speech and a great neighbour since 1979. With just a few rotten apples. Oh come on EB, there's been numerous examples of a few bad apples running a country of otherwise decent people. Oppression is just as real today as it was in feudal times.

When you stepped on their lawn, dug it up for oil, and pissed on it for 25 years, I'd say the US is lucky that Iran didn't start launching missiles the second they moved on Iraq. Violence doesn't solve anything in the long run, all it does is create new grudges, peace on the other hand does wonders to improve cooperation and friendship. The US is hardly a shining beacon of peace, love, and liberty.

On the other hand, I have no problem with Americans...for the most part

I realize the United States does stupid things. I can't for the life of me excuse terrorist states by saying the Americans made them do it.

Just saying you can compare any two countries... as long as you just look at the people who live there, not the kooks that run the joint.
