Regina Regina:
Bilingualism removes people that can be more qualified to do the job, therefore you know she is the best person for the position. This only proves she's the best person who speaks two languages. It's been that way for decades.

Exactly, when people start to see were limiting ourselves to only 15%, maybe 20% of the population that are bilingual for jobs, all because of an appeasement feel good policy .Recipe for disaster in my opinion.

Not just the francos there would be a "few" vocal unilingual anglos that would fight hard to make sure that we exclude the majority language group in this country in the name of national harmony .

Feeling better about something is worth more to others than making sure the best gets hired, even if its of vital importance to our nation.

Sorry women, but you should be staying at home looking after your kids. That's the way God made you and what you excel at. As to whether or not a female can command a ship under fire, that's anyones guess. Not very likely tho, women are not wired to think and make quick decisions, they are wired to multi task yes, but there's a whole world of difference between carrying a phone and doing 5 things and looking after a child's needs versus commanding a war ship. Women get extremely emotional and that clouds their decision making ability, especially when it's that time of the month. I particularly feel bad for female pilots on long hauls locked in a small cockpit with a very inadequate toilet facility, that must be especially trying when its that time of the month.

I read, I thought, and made the quick decision you are either extremely stupid or attempting to compensate for having a tiny dick. If the war ship in question were to be filled with men of your intellect, it would very much be like looking after a group of children. OMG women bleed ....wow...what news this is, I kind of think since we do so for a vast number of years we are quite adept at changing whats necessary despite your sympathy for us. Hmmmm being the emotional woman I am It's likely much healthier for you, you aren't around me at THAT TIME OF THE MONTH. It may be very hard for me to decide to kick you in the ass or in the balls, just for being you. PDT_Armataz_01_30

With our special little boy's comments aside what do the women think about this story? Is a reason to celebrate the liberation of women, or is it just a slow news day?

Well, I looked at it from a perspective of where I worked in a predominantly male field and how you have to prove yourself more so than the males in the field. I dont know how it is in the forces, but there was alot of sexual harrassment but I am pretty damn tough. The majority of the men I worked with were super cool, it was only the backwoods rednecks that really didnt do that great of a job that felt threatened. I think it is cool that she got that far and it will help with recruitment. But I dont agree with the Language requirement, what if there were other men and women that were just as or more suitable, but for any number of reasons could not pick up the second language. That is where my issue lies.

I think its important to have stories like this, just to break down stereotypes and comments like the one we had to endure on the previous page. Just my opinion though.
