Proculation Proculation:
Your argument do not stand...
Oh, but it does, and the above are perfect examples of just how their laws have made it much more easier for lunatics to commit mass murder, which unfortunatly, there seems to be plenty of them in the US.
(Not all are, and many are good people who know how to use their brains)$1:
I can buy a knife designed to kill legally and not kill anyone but I can also buy a power tool legally and kill someone with.
I have several knives, combat, hunting, etc. If one was so inclined, one could kill someone... perhaps a couple of people with a knife.... but their distance is limited and they can easily be taken down compared to someone with an assault rifle...... your comparisons are flawed.
So because somone can kill someone with a pencil in the neck, we should simply allow all firearms to be just as legal as a pencil?
If that's the case, why not allow everybody to have their own Panther III Tank? How about every house have their own Nuclear deterrant while we're at it?
Why not? Because of their level of lethality.... and a firearm's lethality is far greater then a knife or sword.
People argue that firearms are a tool, not a weapon, which is complete crap, because firearms have always, since the dawn of their creation, been a weapon to kill. Anything used to kill is a weapon.
I'm not one of those people who are wanting a total ban on firearms and for them to be ridded of off the face of the earth... they do serve a function in the hands of the right people.
I've used and owned a number of firearms in the past.... but I also went through extensive training and education on firearms during my day. My father trained other soldiers in the Militia with their various firearms and I've gotten plenty beaten into my head on safety and proper usage.
But in most places in the US, so long as you have a driver's license in the State you are purchasing from, you can get whatever you want.... no training, no safety checks.... nothing... there's very little regulation whatsoever..... and to me, that's the problem and that's why there are so many lunatics going on rampages.

Like it or not, guns are a basic thing in American history.
And they'll also be what makes America History in due time.
