2Cdo 2Cdo: Brenda Brenda: Meh, I think he has a lot of useful things to say. That you don't agree, does not necessarily make him a troll. By his own admission he is here to "stir up shit", thus a troll. By my own admission, I am a bitch. I am also quite nice

2Cdo et all pull out the troll card once they start losing an argument. The way to deal with trolls is not to feed them, yet they'll get into it with me until they don't like where the argument is going, then play the troll card. I don't do anything on this forum that others don't, more moderate than many.

You're idea of arguing is to worst case scenario for everyone elses opinion while ducking and weaving challenges to yours. Thus a troll.

YOu're the one who went off about high cost of living and Muslim enclaves in Holland. WTF do Muslim enclaves have to do with the topic? Holland has a lower unemployment rate than we do. If their laws about hiring and firing were such a drag on companies, it would be reflected in the unemployment rate as companies become reluctant to hire. And none of that creates Muslim enclaves.

Yep a little sidebar between me and Brenda and you came in thinking you were going to save the day and ended up just shit-disturbing. And I'm not even close to "losing" this argument. In fact, I was agreeing with you, but that wouldn't do in your world.

That's a very good black and white assessment This wouldn't be an issue if pot were legal.

Gunnair Gunnair: This wouldn't be an issue if pot were legal. Nonsense. This is clearly due to global warming. And Obama's drone policy.

2Cdo 2Cdo: Brenda Brenda: It does not matter what YOU said. My hypothetical example "hurts the company" financially, because it lost a customer. IT STILL DOESN'T REFLECT THE COMPANY. That's the difference which you are failing to see. $1: ANY personal opinion can hurt any company. So shut up? Nice. Again, show me where I said you can't show any opinion. What you, and others who think this is ridiculous, keep missing is that we do have free speech but you will be held accountable for the words you say. Am I missing something dumb here? Did this employee post the comments on his Facebook with a big logo of his employer beside it? Or did he quote his place of business? Or did the person who saw his comments just do some detective work and decide to screw him over for saying something retarded? I’m trying to figure out how what this guy said in any way affected or reflects on his place of business if no one knows where he works?

That's a good point. He didn't do it on his Facebook page, but on the tribute page to Amanda. Very scummy. I wouldn't want to employ somebody like that, but if the firing is justified, that's certainly up to debate.

The guy sounds like an ahole, or at least some punk kid who doesn’t know better and odds are he often acted the same way at work as he did on the internet. But that’s the point. If he was doing things at work like that, fire him for it. Not for some random thing he said outside of his place of business that was completely disassociated from and in no way connected to where he works.

2Cdo 2Cdo: How about bragging about your excessive drinking and drug use? I guess I shouldn't bring up my excessive eating habits on my facebook page. Getting fired because I eat a lot would surely suck.
