I see no reason why she should apologize. Seeing IS herd men to their death like they were animals to be slaughtered says a lot about their mindset. I also don't think that we can all just sit them down round the campfire and talk about our feelings.

A bullet is all they understand at this point.

ISIS is a sidechow, in my opinion. A convulsion of violence that mostly involved two sects of Islam that have been fighting hundreds of years. For all their talk of the evil west, they hate each other more. Arm the Kurds, arm the Israelis, stand with Turkey, offer what little urgent humanitarian aid we can, and let this orgy of violence run itself out. Yes the lines on the map in the middle east will be redrawn, but they were artificial anyway. Address Islamist on native soil.

When you are decidsing wihtehr you want to back Assad, or ISIS, or Suadi Arabia, or Qatar, you know you are in the wrong fight.

Focus on Russia.

A defiant Tantaros declared today that she spoke the truth and has “no intention of apologizing. Period.”

The problem is that the professional frightened bunnies that succeeded in launching the 2003 invasion of Iraq ("if we don't get rid of Saddam, Al Qaeda will be marching down Pennsylvania Avenue by Christmas time!") are hard at work making ISIS out to be the next official equivalent-to-Hitler that, by golly, determined to come and nuke Main Street, USA. 8O

FOX folks don't say anything by mistake. This is all part of the same plan they used the last time. The option of doing small things is rapidly running out and they'll be forcing doing a big thing, like the full investment of US military power into the region all over again. Plus another big capital gains tax cut of course for our job creators! America can't survive without one! :|

What a wonderful day and age we live in. A day and age where half-wits insist that someone apologize for stating an actual fact.

Her historical reference to what Islam was doing hundreds of years ago holds zero water. Does she know what the US was doing hundreds of years ago ? Does she know what the whole of Europe and the Roman empire was doing for thousands of years.

Before the 20th century, there is no country that isn't guilty of crimes that we would consider absolutely heinous by today standards. Equal rights, end to slavery, woman's right are all new conventions to western society.

Bitch needs a history lesson.

Edit: Spelling mistake

Has a Fox News talker ever apologized for anything? I doubt it it.

Just more proof that the frightened-bunnies strategy work perfectly on a bunch of craven politicians terrified of losing their jobs in the next election cycle if they didn't sign on to the cause. And of course in true Republican style you don't hold anyone from your side accountable at all, not even the Dumbya administration that was actually responsible for the entire day-to-day management of the war, not even for their Ahmed Chalabi-provided intelligence that turned out to be a total lie. GOP SOP: it's never our fault, it's always absolutely 100% someone else's fault.

That this utter bullshit is going to work again on American politicians and the American population for the second time in a decade is absolutely fucking astounding. I'm actually glad that the Canadian government has finally succeeded in the task of destroying our own military through budget cuts. It's means that none of our guys will get killed this time chasing a chimera because all we'll be able to do is provide tough words and frowns.

Canada's refusal to carry its weight as part of NATO is going to be a bit of an issue with the Ukraine-Europe crisis unfolding. Yes, Germany is balking, too, but for different reasons. The Germans have an aversion to a well-funded military but Canada just wants to spend their money elsewhere and default the defense of Canada to the USA.

http://news.nationalpost.com/2014/09/03 ... g-targets/

I'm not kidding in the least here when I say that if the Baltic states are bucking up then Canada's going to have to buck up, as well, or else be asked to withdraw from full participation in NATO. You don't get a say in the operation of the alliance if you're not going to make a meaningful contribution to it.

Keep in mind I'm just saying it the way it is. No offense intended.
