Huh. Not us. It's supposed to stay on the frosty side (the temps aren't so bad, it's the wind chill that's gonna get us) until next weekend and then warm up the the single negatives.

Makes no difference to me. It's January. I live in Alberta. It's not a shocker.

We've postponed a trip down a notorious killer road in freezing rain until Sunday. It was nonessential travel and I'm happy to put my feet up and have a glass or two of wine, instead. I drive 150 kms on a normal day but I don't go looking for trouble without good reason.

I have to drive out to Terrace tomorrow and by Gad, it's ugly out there tonight. Even though it won't carry shit, I;m taking the Wrangler and I bet 4wd will be on the whole way.

I drove a Subaru for a decade and I never had to make that decision.

If you check out Consumer's Report worst cars of 2014, the Jeep Wrangler is on there right now.

The Subes, on the other hand ALWAYS make "the best" lists. I'd buy another Sube. I've owned four Chrysler products down through the years and I would NEVER touch another one.

...but then again, you're "Groot".

I had a Subaru. Overpriced piece of crap. Handled beautifully--don't get me wrong. Just couldn't look at it funny without something falling off that would cost you a lot of money. Lemon.

Oh, well. You got a Monday car. While I was driving around my Sube for 300,000 kms, I spent about $4000 over the 10 year life of the thing. That's all. My wife was driving a series of GM junkers at the same time and they cost each about $2000 PER YEAR to keep on the road. Total crap and that was the last straw for me buying Americans. Never again will I waste another nickel on cars designed to extract the brass from your pocket and nothing more.

They should have let GM die when they had the chance. Otherwise, Darwin was wrong.

Yeah $2000 a year was about right for that Subaru. And the service was--bar none--the worst I've ever experienced from any car company. Yes, Friday afternoon shift car--it doesn't seem to be common for Subaru. Blown head gasket at less than 100K. Not covered. That was just the start. Most people are happy with them. I hope you never experience it.

Anyways happy with my Honda Odyseey now. Man does that thing take a beating.

I love it, its the type of winter we had in the 60ies, ice storms, white outs, and minus 20 weather. I loved it.
