They are still Jewish. Did you read the article?

They are of Jewish ancestry, they are not Jews culturally or religiously. Under the laws of return all you have to do is prove your grandparents were Jewish, and you are automatically entitled to Israeli citizenship. On that note, there are quite a few Israeli citizens who aren't Jewish. You ever hear of the term Israeli Arab, and no that is not a Palestinian Arab. Many Bedouins and Druze serve in the IDF. The organized crime in Israel is almost exclusively Russian 'Jews', who use their ancestry to get out of Dodgesky....or would that be Dodgeograd?

Overall it's disgusting but hopefully it won't be used by some to disparage the concept of right of return for other Jews who want to go to Israel. The Israeli policy of return isn't to blame anyway.
