Why not? I don't think it is common to have a cruise ship with 100 passengers stuck in the Antarctic region...

They're on an icebreaker, they're not stranded and are merely delayed, and they have an excuse to do some exploring in the area past their permitted allowance. Trust me, these people are HAPPY to be stuck in the ice because they have a legitimate excuse to stay on scene in excess of their permitted time. I wish I was on board.
