Sure. And at the very least, every government rewards its constituency with tax dollars at the expense of the people who didn't vote for them. As long as they do that, if they give a little something extra to the people in a position to give them a little something extra, they'll keep getting elected.

The Rav line - 2 billion dollars
Vancouver Convention Center - 900 million dollars
Sea to Sky Highway upgrades - 3 billion dollars
The Gateway Project - 2 billion dollars
Golden Ears bridge - 600 Million
Vancouver Deep Sea Port - 1.5 Billion
BC Place Stadium Roof - 458 Million
Pattullo Bridge Upgrade or Replacement ????????????

Total without the Pattullo: 10.4 Billion

Can you see a pattern here based on the number of voters and the amount of money spent?
