A Vancouver man accused of dumping a severely beaten German Shepherd in a garbage bin has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty.

    I believe the 5 years in jail, the $10,000 fine and the lifetime ban on owning or having custody of animals represents the maximum fine under the current law here. May he receive them all.

    Oh I agree 100%. Unfortunately, it's all the system will allow to be done to those useless maggots who commit these horrid crimes. At the absolute least I expect that every person found guilty should get the max no matter what, though I doubt it always works out that way.

    Perhaps 5 years in general population with his new friends knowing what he did will add a little more punishment to his sentence.

    Weak politicians and courts that don't want to level harsh punishments when horrible crimes against people are committed most likely don't give much of a damn when horrible crimes are committed against animals.
