    Could help with brush fires further south. My cousin and her family live in Cairns. They're going to Brisbane for a 'holiday'.

    Sadly, sometimes the weather is fake, too. In California every damned cloud is called a 'storm' and the local weather jerks on TV run breathless "Storm Watch" and "BREAKING NEWS!" segments about how there's a little bit of rain. :roll:

    And then when we have a real storm, like we did last month, and the actual evacuation orders go out there's a lot of people who ignored the evacuation orders because the false alarms are so common.

    Alarmism may sell ads on TV but it isn't responsible journalism. Especially when it concerns the weather.

    That said I hope nothing bad happens in Oz.
