Why would you say that? There have been many Superman movies since the 1970s, currently Supergirl is a TV series, the latest movies include "Man of Steel" was great. There are the Batman movies. Suicide Squad did great. I didn't much care for "Superman vs Batman", I mean why would good guys fight each other? Next is "Justice League". They appear to be a successful series of movies and TV shows. Wonder Woman is just the latest. And she's doing great. I think some reviewer just wants attention.

But little continuity, with each movie trying to re-invent Superman for that generation.



So are Agents of SHIELD (with Agent Carter now cancelled ), Luke Cage, DareDevil, Jessica Jones, Legion, Iron Fist, Inhumans, with the Defenders and Punisher coming soon.



But it was just another re-invention. With the Marvel titles, there are tie-ins not only to movies, but other TV shows. The Actor who plays Phil Coulson on Agents of SHIELD has also been in several Thor, Captain America, and all of The Avengers movies for example. So has Samuel L. Jackson as 'The Director'.



Good movies, but again, re-inventing themselves each time.



Meh. Enjoyable. Good black humour, but again, a one-off.



Because Lex Luthor! That was one of the rare times the DC Universe tied into itself, like the TV series 'Arrow', 'Flash' and 'Legends of Tomorrow'. And 'Arrow' doesn't tie back into the old 'Smallville' TV series, which it easily could.

And it also had the emergence of Wonder Woman, and the best line in that movie; "I thought she was with you?"



Meh. I always though it in the comics realm to be an Avengers wannabe. It had the same balance of characters and personalities to make it too much of a clone for me.



It sounds like a good movie, but my only gripe is that probably has a limited meshing with all the other stories that make it a 'Universe' like Marvel. It's more just a bunch of disjointed stories.

It's a really good movie. My previous favorites were the Dark Knight (Heath's Joker) and Guardians.

I enjoyed this more than either of those.

Heath's Joker was pretty dark and brooding and evil, but Jack Nicholsons' and Cesar Romeros' Jokers were a lot closer to the "Golden Age" Jokers.

I thought Nicholson's was also the only one truly a 'Joker', as he seemed to deliver line after hilarious line while still being pure evil. "It can be truly said; I have a Bat in my Belfry!"

"Agent Carter" failed because it tried too hard to project the current feminist sensibilities into a 1940's context and in doing so it failed to be good entertainment. I tried to watch it a few times and it lacked a 1940's ring of authenticity due to so many current cultural references being touched upon.

While I have yet to see "Wonder Woman" the general gist of the movie is that they made an entertaining movie that happens to have a strong woman as a central character.

With "Suicide Squad" I can sum it up thusly: The funniest parts of the movie were all shown in the trailers. I expected to see some sort of a wry comedy and instead it was more of a serious set piece.

Dude! It's a comic book! Lighten up.

Besides, who wouldn't watch this, even with the sound off.

I don't care for any of the network TV series - DC or Marvel. I don't spend a lot of time worrying about why, I just know I don't like them.

Netflix however, has found the formula. Coincidentally they're Marvel.
