The way three inukshuks displayed outside Toronto's Pearson International Airport have been reassembled has angered some Inuit.

When it comes to erecting, or re-erecting, inukshuks it would seem to be another area where the White man comes up short. Some say the new configurations are disrespectful of Inuit culture. And one actually signifies an area where someone was killed or died by suicide! The inukshuks have been in their current location on the curb outside the Terminal 1 departures entrance since 2002.

I'm sure someone will write a strongly worded email to Toronto Airports on how it's the OPPs fault.

On a serious note . . yea, not cool. Perhaps whoever is in charge of reassembly should learn a thing or two about the culture?
