One of the predictions that was made years ago was that as the tendency of the polar winds start to break down and venture further south, we'd see more extreme weather in odd seasons. Like extreme cold on the eastern seaboard and in Europe. That's exactly what we see with this giant low off Alaska contributing to December tornadoes in the PNW.
