For those not familiar with life on a warship here's what's probably the most accurate description of the decision making required by a Captain and his Command Team to prevent an international incident while operating in the Straits of Hormuz.

I suspect that the UK Royal Navy's ROE are going to be much more kinetic under PM Boris and that the expensive warships are going to do more than just passively watch the Iranian pirates board and seize UK flagged ships.

Something I read, not sure if it was here or someplace else on the WEB, said the UK war ship got there about 10 minutes to late to stop the take over. Considering the surprise of the the take over and what not. I don't blame them one bit for slow response.
