Kind of a confirmation that this one has the potential to be seriously bad. The authorities back in the days of the Black Death and other epidemics would do the same thing, board/brick-up people in the homes if they were infected in order to contain the spread.

China has socialized health care and this is what socialized health care looks like.

Pretty sure the next genuine killer pandemic, which this coronavirus apparently has the potential to be, will make both public and private health care entirely irrelevant if it spins out of control. People have been Hollywood-ized far too much for their own good. There is no sudden cure for some things waiting just over the horizon. Human arrogance as usual, thinking things can always be easily tamed, altered, beaten, or re-directed for our convenience.
