OTTAWA - Krista Erickson, an Ottawa-based CBC-TV reporter who CBC said fed questions to a Liberal MP during the Mulroney-Schreiber hearings in December, has been transferred to Toronto after the broadcaster found her actions "inappropriate." Comments

More votes and a pretty picture but I guess the Mods choose the leading stories based on something else.
We don't and can't change anything about the news stories and where they appear. Trevor has it set the same for all of the stories on the front page. There are a number of parameters that affect what is up on the front page but since I don't have any mod capabilities on that part of the site I don't pay much attention to it. One of the other members who post lots of stories would have more information for you on the matter though. There's definitely no conspiracy.........

I agree with you Riden, its no longer top stories, so it should be renamed to Editors Picks. I kind of liked it when the members votes decided on what was the top stories. I have no problem with the way it's being run now, but call it for what it is, Editor's Picks

There is no editor.
well now you are complaining because the CBC dealt with it... she wasnt transferred because of liberal politics.. she was transferred because what she did was inappropriate.. and it is a kick in the ass because for a reporter Ottawa is the place to be for career advancement.. she fucked up... get over it and get on with it... she made the choice to do what she did.. now she is paying so be it..
She's a Liberal bitch and she should have been fired
My taxes pay her rent fire the bitch. If it was a conservative it would have been a different story.
If she wants to question the government during a hearing than she should run for office and get a seat on the opposition bench.
I stand corrected. Hyack looks after our news section and has parameters as to how the stories are listed. Contact him by PM if you wish to find out how the stories are placed on the front page.
I knew that, that's why i suggest it be called Editor's picks.

However it is done, the result is the same. Just to keep things open, I'm going to start a thread and post the headline stories on a weekly basis and maybe an obvious trend can be seen.
What's most revolting about this was the CBC didn't accept that this was political bias.
This reporter writes questions have nothing to do with the Mulroney affair and everything to do with throwing dirt on the present government, for a Liberal who is outside of the Mulroney committee.
What part of this isn't politically motivated.
If not fired, I'd like to see her appointed the next Ringett sportscaster for the Northwest Territories.

The hapless Pablo Rodriguez, as well, should be obligated to either step down from the ethics committee (as he obviously has no ethics himself) or leave Parliament altogether.
