One week into B.C.'s contentious carbon tax plan, Premier Gordon Campbell said he's willing to pay a political price at the polls to lower the province's future greenhouse gas output.

I wonder if most BCians know how much industry is exempted from paying the tax?

Yes we do. Most of us hate this tax and the man that gave it to us. Even more so now that we know a lot of big polluters are exempt.

This is sucking big time and Gordo just has no clue that he's tempting disaster here.

We all know the knob we have in power has no concept of reality. Ever since he got reamed by the Governator, he's been on this green kick, which we all know isn't endearing him to anyone but the uber rich, and the trolls who claim to be environmentalists, but are just wannabe communists trying to lower the standard of living to their level, since they can't seem to muster enough testicular fortitude or intelligence to raise their own lives above abject poverty.

Like I said before, if anyone can give me a viable alternative to this jackass or the NDP's resident twit, I'll vote for them. Until then I'll waste my ballot on whatever obscure party happens to be running in my riding.

Gotta 2nd that opinion. Diehard NDP until Harcourt took the fall and they failed to cleanse themselves. Carole James completely missed the Green boat with no structured alternative and handed thousands of votes to El Gordo. Sorry to disagree, but handed more votes than she'll get opposing it!
Reality is nobody's gonna do anything but kiss Alcan and the cruise industry's ass, and my company's just gonna pass that added $10 a week on to the customers.
Wonder if the Marijuana Party will take and old fart like me for a candidate?
