Get out your pitchforks and hanging rope, some kid "said" the cops used a racist insult.
You have no idea how often I've heard people squak that the cops called them "this" or "that" or screamed out "police brutality" for the hell of it.
99% of the time its total bullshit.
Oh and this part
"arrett also told The Canadian Press that he and members of the race relations committee have viewed a video of the incident three times, and that he found some evidence that confirms the account given by Fells."
Sounds like he may not be lying
"99% of the time its total bullshit." Got proof, asshat?

Wow you have experienced 99% of all incidents, that must be tiring.Weird thing is I also have and 99% of the time the officers were the ones bullshitting.
At least say "in my experience".

While I agree with you 100% on the Police issue, having lived in Halifax (which has a large black population who are all decended from ex-slaves escaping the States in the underground railroad), I personally found alot of the black population there has a chip on their shoulders about their history.
Anytime there was a confrontation involving Blacks and Whites it was escalated in the media and by individuals involved to be supremly racist.
I also found alot of Black youths in Halifax/Dartmouth to be more racist against whites than the other way around.
Having said this, I do agree. Fucking Police in this country are never held accountable for their actions, and lately it seems every time you turn around there is something new involving officers.

Besides the RCMP in BC tasering a guy last year, what other actions have the unaccountable 'fucking police' ( nice neutral view there) been into?
Quotes and actual events are way better than vague aspersions.
You have experience in Digby?
Cops in Digby just a little more racist than the rest or what? I have experience with the Winnipeg Police and if you believe some of the mouth breathers they are supposedly the most racist cops in the country.
I'd trust the cops hell of a lot more than I would trust some random 19 year old kid.

Should I keep going?
Let's allow the case to be tried in court and stop making conclusions based on insufficient evidence!
