Doesn't matter now, the decision has been made.

Interesting. I thought Afghanistan was considered a far more legitimate exercise than Iraq.

EDIT: Nevermind. I read that it was an online poll. It no longer has any significant legitimacy in my mind.

Yeah it could be as high as 38% in reality....

A given online audience is far more likely to be prejudiced in a certain manner than one composed of real people with real lives.

I don't think it's quite that simple. Angus Reid is a reputable firm that presumably takes into account that it's an online poll and adjusts its methodology accordingly.

Still, it is admittedly not the best way to conduct a poll.

The poll is only questionable because it shows something they don't like. If it had said that 90% of Canadians supported the war then it would have been etched in stone.

Nope sorry you're wrong. I accepted the poll until it was pointed out it was an online poll.

    Did I say you?

While we both know my statement is true for a fair number of con supporters lets just address the validity of online polls vs telephone polls.

Why is this poll less correct vs a telephone poll or write in poll?

to be honest the only poll I trust is the Election one, just because if you read the entire story you will notice that:

"The 1,004 were selected at random and their answers were statistically weighted to reflect education, age, gender and regional patterns of the Canadian population."

So after reading this one sentence, this poll lost all validity. Did they sample only 1004 or did they pick 1004 people out of all of those who took the survey, so they could present us with a number that suited their own political views?

I am not saying only online polls do this, for all we know they could use phone polls as well!!!

The great Left-wing Conspiracy.....this chapter brought to you by Angus Reid!!!!

I'm apart of Angus Reid. I could see how they would fix polls because when you join up they ask you a bunch of questions to find out what kind of a person you are and what kind of issues you're into.

That said I don't doubt the results of the poll. I choose to blame the low level of support on anti-americanism.

Are you going to prove this poll is accurate too?

    I don't think that's necessary.
