Bell's internet throttling illegal, Google says

I must say I'm surprised by the stance Google has taken in the past while - you don't seem to see a lot of big players standing up against the push to regulate everything we do.

I'm leaving Aliant (Bell) as soon as I can.

So if I�ve got this right, this throttling will result in poor audio and video quality on MSN ?

I think it's peer-to-peer only.

It's only p2p filesharing that's being throttled, but Google is still right.

I'd be opposed to the whole notion of regulating what ISPs can deliver to their customers if it weren't for the lack of competition in that industry - it'd be great if the market could simply adapt to society's desires, but when it has no real reason to adapt, we don't have that luxury.
