German prosecutor was visiting a French village Tuesday to try to uncover secrets about one of the most vicious massacres perpetrated on French soil during the Second World War
You two never surprise me anymore. It seems like you've become predictable. But then I guess you'd probably say the same of me. Cheers.

I wouldn't describe them as such, if anything the Nazis were the "terrorists".
But to say the terrorists of today are like the French Resistance isn't even close to the mark. There is no comparison.
Oh no.... No, it's completely different now. Of course.
It is completely different now, unless you are saying the western world has become just the like Nazis, in which case I'd recommend you commit yourself to the nearest psychiatric ward.

"Terrorist", in a political sense, means whatever an oppressor wants it to mean. Usually, it is the oppressors themselves that are the true terrorists.
The logic of "you're not a terrorist unless you're a nazi" is profoundly banal. Tyrranical governments often call their critics and dissidents "terrorists."

It would seem that the German was using the correct terminology. According to the google search I brought up there are over 200 definitions for the word "Terrorist" It would seem to have a meaning or two that I didn't think fit the terminology we use now. However you are correct. Are you comparing home grown terrorists to another form of terrorist that we know of now? Or are you wanting us to assume that's what you meaning is.
Terrorist is a matter of perspective so I don't have real problems with that one. I definately get ticked when folks call terrorists freedom fighters however. You can't "fight for freedom" by blowing up innocent civilians. Freedom fighters can't be alienating themselves from the support of the local population.
Fascinating.
