RCMP unveil retro cruisers

EDMONTON - The last time black-and-white RCMP cruisers were seen on Alberta's highways, the Paris Peace Accords had brought an end to the Vietnam War, men's sideburns were bigger than ever, and Peter Lougheed was sitting in the legislature.

Our detachment got their car today for Highway Patrol, with the single cherry on top and being black, I don�t know if I�d stop for it. It looks more like a car from a security company.

I like the Mountie style hats. The state troopers wear them down here and they look cool.
