Mike Gillis expressed confidence that Sundin, who became an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career on July 1, would still accept the club's offer of a two-year contract valued at $20 million US.

Damn, I really want some of whatever it is Gillis has been smoking!!

If the Canucks come to Toronto this year, I will hit Sundin square in his traitorous Campbell soup-eating fucking mouth with a D-Cell battery.

No can do. I'll be too busy going from SportChek to SportChek burning all the Nik Antropov jerseys with the "C" on the front.

Why not go to Detroit, everybody else is. Besides, I wouldn't peg Sundin as a greedy bastard and going to Vancouver isn't the best way to go out with retirement and a cup contender with everybody on the Canucks team leaving for greener pastures and in my opinion going to be the weakest Canadian team ever (what's their offense again?) He should stay with Toronto to the end. Toronto has a better chance at making the playoffs this year than the Canucks.

He should pull a Ray Bourque. Sign for the wings, win the cup, then retire.
Too many wasted years in TO.

Well, this is only a report/rumour, so we'll have to wait and see what happens with Mats. :P

I'm golfing with one of his former team mates tomorrow morning and I know they've talked recently. Maybe I can get the scoop for all of you.
