CALGARY -- The grandson of a Second World War veteran and proud Canadian says he feels ashamed his employer won't let him wear a Remembrance Day poppy to work.

    Just fasten it with a canadian flag pin... but I do see where managment is comming from and they are in the right. The kid can always just take a day off on the 11th from now on.

    Who's the marketing genius who came up wiht the sharp needle idea anwyays. A regular pin would make more sense.

    I lost 4 or 5 before someone pointed out the Legion recommends a clip on those suckers. Yer old lady should have on around from earrings, etc.
    Or bend it around like a fishhook with a pair of needlenose if you're the Red Green type...

    Mine went right into my chest...nothing like a boob piercing with a poppy pin...I cant figure out how not to stab myself with it or keep it on. but I think I will try the earing thing...just got to find some thats all :lol:

    have it sown to his shirt. I understnad the needles fall out , i have lost many poppies .
