I pay top dollar for my programming, I hope this is just a start to clamp down on these thieves.

What amazes me is the attitude of these people, something for nothing, or well 1000's of others are doing it so I guess it's not all that bad.

Well thousands of people are stealing cars, rapping women... So I guess society should turn a blind eye to those crimes too... Huh?

The difference is I'm not stealing the signal, I pay for my service... via my U.S. address. :D

Nice diversion from the original topic. Theft!!

I have had DirecTV since 96, so it's kinda hard to give up. Nevertheless, if I ever return to the United States... well.

If I didn't have DirecTV, I would pay for Bell Expressvu, as a matter of fact I have a Bell ExpressVU PVR that I used in the past. (programming sucks)

The grey market is still grey market. Technically, it's not totally illegal, but if they ever find out, you'll get shut down.

    Really, how do you figure.

DirecTV knows where I live and where the dish is.

Local Sheriff comes over to watch football and the RCMP have been by, they are aware, it's not hidden it has DirecTV written all over it, they asked me about it one time when over dealing with a fella who drove through a fence.

They also commented on my car which has Texas plates. oh well.

So who's going to shut me down.

The fact remains... once again. I pay $102 a month, FTA is stealing. No better than stealing a car.

it would depend if DTV has broadcasting rights in Canada.

I'm guessing they don't... so its not really illegal..

FTA also steals Bell ExpressVU or Starchoice signal which is Canadian.

We used to have DISH Network at our Victoria house and the dish was on the roof and no one ever said boo about it.
