Seriously, it's about time oil companies started paying royalties more in line with other jurisdictions in the world.
Good news! Another billion a year in royalties will go a long way to paying those inflated MLA salries!

I like the simplicity. Pay $X per barrel of bitumen, as opposed to the complicated system of royalties which no one really seemed to know the full extent of. Or were sure if we were getting a fair deal.
