Al-Qaeda's racist denunciations of Barack Obama are the figurative equivalent of splashing acid on defenceless schoolgirls, Defence Minister Peter MacKay said yesterday, and should embolden western efforts to defeat the Taliban insurgency.

Good, can always use some additonal man power and help. I hope our government won't take this as a que to leave the war. I have a feeling that as soon as America puts in additional troops to equal our burdon in Khandahar, we will put out. Be known as cut and runners, something we have never done in war or peace keeping. No matter how bad the situation is.

I don't think there was really ever a question about the US pulling their weight in Afghanistan, rather the rest of the paper tigers in NATO.
Their the ones that need a boot upside the head. The US and NATO troops were in Europe for a reason, not just some economic aid package.
That reason was a treaty and their not living up to their end of the bargan.

As for Canada leaving.. What else can the government do?
Do you want the government to act without discussion and without vote?
Isn't that how we got into this mess in the first place?
