The Federal Communications Commission has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the indecency case involving singer Janet Jackson's breast-baring performance at the 2004 Super Bowl.
"TattoodGirl" said oh good god people get over it...its a boob just a freaking boob, she didnt kill a kitten on stage
Given the USA's puritanical stance on all things remotely sexual, and alarmingly passive attitudes about violence, there'd probably have been LESS controversy if she'd killed a kitten.

Seriously, how many of you were watching the Superbowl at that time. If you were, you would agree that you really couldn't see her nipple at all. I thought it was covered by something. It was only when brought up in the news the next day that I found out it wasn't.
And I agree with hurley on this one that the western world needs to get their priorities straight when it comes to sex and violence.

So true, You could not tell and they moved the camera away so fast that no one saw anything, until they played it over and over and over. As to why it is a big deal for them,it must be remembered that the US has a history of Puritans from England and parts of that still hold on.

It's only a boob. There are other things that they should be concerned about.
