A wicked combination of snow and cold blasted its way into Manitoba Sunday after setting record winds chills of -50 C in Saskatchewan the night before.
I grew up in Northern Manitoba and the one thing we really didn't have all that much of was wind. It could be -30 and without the wind it was bearable. Now that I live in Saskatchewan it could be -20 with our usual wind and it's friggin brutal!

Winters up north weren't to bad because of the trees blocking out wind. It was nice until you got along the lake and then a slight breeze felt like it was peeling the skin off of your face.

damn!...How would a person even dress for that!
Canada goose parka, rabbit fur aviator hat, sealskin or beaver mitts, goggles.
The same as you would dress for -40. Lots of layers and lots of fur, plastic disintegrates at that temperature so it's useless.
Hey, look on the bright side. If it weren't for global warming it would have been alot colder
