DNA testing will be the latest tool in the city's arsenal to nab deadbeats who don't pick up their doggie's doo, the Sun has learned. Bylaw officials will begin using a new $1-million DNA analyzer to track down pet owners who fail to scoop their dog's poo

This is retarded. cops can't get timely DNA testing to solve real crimes yet Calgary wants to spend $1 million to catch pooping dogs?

With the piles showing up around here as the snow slowly melts, I think its a good idea. No one wants their dog registered so theyll go around picking up other dog crap to take into city hall instead. Itll be like a self cleaning oven.

But then again I support a lot of ideas as long as my tax $ aren't paying for it.

I think people that don't pick up after their dog's are rude, lazy assed tards. Absolutely no excuse for it.

We should do what we do to cats when they piss on the floor or carpet.
Rub the owner's face in it. 8)

If they had that program here i would get some dog poop off the nieghbours barking dogs and start depositing the poop in the collection box's.

At $500.00 a pop for the poop,it could get very expensive.

"It's a great idea because who hasn't stepped in some doggie doo-doo and dragged it into the house and the car and spent the whole afternoon cleaning it all up," he said. "It's not pleasant."

    Me, for one.

I have as well . Then again I have three dogs and don't get a whole lot of satisfaction out of calling myself a dumb blonde bitch for missing it when I cleaned up the yard after them PDT_Armataz_01_30

I'm thinking the same thing, the sun usually does something every year.
This guys name kinda gives it away.
But another genetics expert, Dr. Jack Russell, questioned how successful the program will be.
